CounterTime has been a game changer for my sensitive skin and I cannot recommend it enough. There are generally four steps to the BeautyCounter regimens with additional products available to compliment your routine including eye creams and overnight boosters, etc. The four main steps include cleanse, prepare, treat and protect:
Step 1. Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil – This soft, heavenly oil goes on dry and slightly lathers once it comes in contact with water. Unlike most cleansers, it doesn’t result in endless frothing to chase up. It removes make up really well and smells like floral, liquid, sunshine. In the evenings I mix it up by using Charcoal Cleansing Bar on my clearsonic in the shower to get the daily grime off my skin.
Step 2. Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence – I use this on my face, decolletage and arms for added moisture. The consistency leaves the skin moist but not wet and greasy and makes it ready for the next step. I put on the next product before letting anything dry which helps to spreading the products evenly as well as making them last longer.
Step 3. Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum – This little beauty helps with fine lines and imperfections all on its own but I add boosters a few times a week for an extra kick or I substitute this out for the overnight resurfacing peel at night.
The boosters I am using right now include the Counter+ No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil on days where I will not be out in the sun a lot because it has loads of photosensitive vitamin c which can make your skin prone to getting burnt. I add a few drops to my face and neck a few times a week to help with fine lines and I alternate days with the Counter+ No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil. This second booster helps firm and hydrate the skin so switching back and forth I notice my skin has improved with fine lines and sagging of the skin as well as overall texture and glow. I plan on throwing the .
At night I swap out the serum a couple of times a week for the Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel which leaves my skin absolutely glowing by morning. Although the name of the product may sound like it will leave your skin vulnerable it does the exact opposite. It takes away the dull cells but does not over dry or irritate the skin or make it. I use this under the evening moisturizer and wake up with a dewy complexion.
Step 4. Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream for day and Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream for night – It sounds odd when I say this but to me it smells like the ozone or extra oxygen. I cannot get enough of this stuff. The day cream is light and prepares the skin for the day ahead including your makeup routine which is my case is the Flawless in Five. I am not a makeup girl so the faster the better and I boost my look with the Precision Liquid Eyeliner for that ‘extra effort’ look.
The night creme is flawless in my book. It is rich a creamy and smells like clean air and the only time I swap this out is if I want a boost of moisture. For example, winter time often brings with it dryer air and my skin gets a bit of a shock initially so I would skip the night cream a few nights a week and go for the Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm.
This Balm is a one stop shop perfect for travel because not only can it be used as a mask for a hydrating overnight facial it doubles as a cleanser and make up remover. Mind blowing product!
The Pièce de résistance of it all is that BeautyCounter does extensive research on all the ingredients in every single product so I can rest assured that I am not causing damage to my body while using beautifully packaged and presented products.
